The
Metropolitan
Museum of Art
is one of the largest art museums in the world and was founded in
1870. The museum’s collection includes more than two million pieces

Serra Drawing: A Retrospective- Serra
is a contemporary American artist and the exhibit features forty
years of his drawing activity. He used mediums such as ink,
charcoal, lithographic crayon, oil, and wax.

Caro on the Roof- Caro
is considered the most influential British sculptor of his
generation as well as a key figure in the development of modernist
sculpture. The exhibit features sculptures made of steel, in both
painted and unpainted designs. The sculptures are definitely a sight

Andean Tunic, 400BCE- 1800CE- This
exhibit features thirty Andean tunics as a glimpse into ancient
life.

Mother
India: The Goddess in Indian Painting- The
goddess is the source and affirmation of life. This exhibit
showcases Indian works of art featuring the goddess as the main
focus.

Frans
Hals in the Metropolitan Museum- The
exhibit features 13 paintings by the celebrated Dutch artist.

Historic
Images of the Greek Bronze Age: The Reproductions of E. Gillieron
and Son- This
exhibit features works by Swiss-born Gillieron and his son, who were
both among the foremost art restorers of their time. (1850-1924)

Sensitivity to the Seasons: Summer and Autumn in Japanese Art- This
exhibit includes paintings, screenings, and objects in Japanese art
galleries which reflect their awareness to seasonal change.

Vision: Photography After Dark- Features
night photography throughout the last century, ranging from gritty
city scenes to striking portraits.

Drawings
and Prints: Selections from the Permanent Collection- This
exhibit features drawings made by artists visiting Italy in the 18th
century.

Thinking
Outside the Box: European Cabinets, Caskets and Cases from the
Permanent Collection (1500-1900) - This
exhibit features 100 boxes, caskets, and small chests from the
European Sculpture and Decorative Arts collection. They are truly
amazing.
